I love the entire painting process, start to finish - the initial inspiration, working with colours and composition, juicy application of oil on canvas, watching the work unfold and dictate what it needs, and the happy accidents which often take the work in an unforeseen direction and make it better. 

I have been inspired to paint themes from nature, mostly trees, forests and animals, and using these themes I love to explore the use of colour and different variations on a representational painting style.

I have studied and created art for many years, both independently and through more formal training at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

After studies in music and law, I currently work as a lawyer and artist and live in the Cabbagetown area of Toronto.

And this is my dog Summer, a constant inspiration.....
